- Trip data: origin, destination, dates, travel mode, and party size
- Expense data: amounts, categories, descriptions, and notes you enter
- Location data: used only to find nearby attractions along your route
- Device information: for push notifications and app functionality
How We Use Your Information
- To provide trip planning, budgeting, and expense tracking features
- To display nearby attractions and points of interest along your route
- To send optional push notifications about your trip and spending
- To improve the app based on anonymous usage feedback
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — secure cloud database for storing your account and trip data
- Mapbox — maps, routing, and location search
- Google Sign-In — optional authentication via your Google account
- Google Cloud Vision — receipt scanning (image processed and discarded)
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security — only you can access your own trips, expenses, and profile data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Karoosa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
